Rates

We understand how tough it is for small businesses and nonprofits to compete against larger brands for consumer attention. How can you be successful if no one knows who you are or how to find your products or services? Then, to add insult to injury, it’s very easy to spend an exorbitant amount of money on branding and marketing at other creative agencies.

We aren’t like other creative agencies. We get it. We understand the pressure of limited financial resources (’cause we’re in the same boat). Therefore, we never want our design rates to be a barrier to the success of your brand’s mission. We work within your budget so that you never receive an invoice that gives you a little panic attack in the pit of your stomach. But how?

You choose your hourly design rate. You set your project’s budget. And we provide full transparency so that you always know (a) what we’re working on, and (b) how many billable hours we’ve invested at any given time.

“But Kelly, we have no idea how much we should be paying for a brand and design consultant.” Well, I’m glad you asked! In our blog post, “Choosing your design rate,” we breakdown the fair market value for a skilled creative professional with a mathematical formula. That’s right, a mathematical formula because we’re a bunch of left-brained nerds creatives.

Psst…if you didn’t read our blog post about choosing your design rate, I’ll tell you here: It cost an average of $80 per hour to hire a creative director or brand consultant. Now listen, these aren’t our rates. Remember: You’re choosing your own hourly design rate. We’re just providing the guidelines for you to make informed decisions.

I’m going to guess your next question is, “Okay, so how long does it usually take to complete the kind of work I’m looking for?” Great question! I’ll include some billable hour estimates below as we take a closer look at LBC’s service offerings.

3Logo design estimates include 4 billable hours per initial design (subtotal: 12), 4 billable hours per edit round (subtotal: 8), and 4 billable hours to prep and deliver final logo files and brand guidelines.
4Tactical brand marketing communication strategy includes identification of brand communication channels and prioritization of projects and action items based on client goals and objectives.

Brand Launch Action Plan (Phase II)

Once we have worked together to identify your brand’s tactical brand marketing communication strategy, we move into Phase II: The brand launch action plan. This is the campaign execution phase where we design the creative elements and implement your brand launch strategy.

The vast majority of brand launch action plans include developing your brand’s online presence. We’re here to help you create your brand’s informational or e-commerce website (both design and copywriting services are available); establish your brand’s social media presence; and manage third-party review sites, such as Google Business, Yelp, Amazon, etc.

Because of the highly customized nature of brand launch action plans, we won’t try to cover all the marketing strategies we deploy to launch a new brand. But let us reiterate that we work closely with you to develop an action plan that meets your brand’s goals and objectives. And because you get to choose your hourly design rate, you’re in complete control of your budget.

Services: Brand Audit

Brand Audit (Phase I)

LBC also offers brand audit packages for established brands who are launching a new product or service line, or are looking to recalibrate their brand strategy. The brand audit is appropriate for small businesses and nonprofits who are experiencing stagnant (or declining) growth and are looking to maximize their brand’s competitive edge or reposition themselves in the marketplace. The brand audit package includes:

  • Identification of brand values and unique selling proposition
  • Research-based analysis of the industry and competitive landscape
  • Identification of target market(s)
  • Analysis of brand compared to leading competitor
  • Recommendations for brand improvement and growth

Brand Audit Action Plan (Phase II)

In Phase II, LBC works closely with clients to implement their chosen strategies from the brand audit. First, we develop a tactical action plan (aka marketing plan) based on your marketing goals and objectives; then, we design the creative elements to execute and implement your action plan.

As you can imagine, our brand audit action plans are also highly customized for our clients’ specific needs, so we won’t attempt to cover the different marketing strategies we use to recalibrate our established brands here. But rest assured, you’re always in control of your spend. We look to you for guidance on which strategies to implement and how much to invest.

À La Carte Design Projects

“But Kelly, I don’t need a whole brand marketing strategy, I just want to create [a logo, website, brochure, etc.].”

We got you! LBC is happy to partner with brands on à la carte design projects. We understand that you may not need a comprehensive brand strategy, so we welcome all types of graphic design projects.

We also understand that you may want to “test us out” on a smaller one-off project before partnering with us on more in-depth strategic work. That’s fine, too! We work hard to impress our clients and understand the value of long-lasting business relationships. Sometimes, those relationships start out with a single gig—we get it!
