Kelly Strine: Resume

Kelly Strine, left-brained creative

Sole Proprietor, Owner
May 2019 to Present
Of the 259,500 graphic designers in the U.S., 24% of them are self-employed (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018). Competition is fierce, and as a small business owner myself in a sea of designers, I want to highlight a few statistics from the 2019 AIGA Design Census that set me apart from my competition.

Percent of designers with less than 10 years of experience
With 11 years of design experience, I am more seasoned than 60% of survey respondents.
Percent of designers without a bachelor's degree
I earned my bachelor's degree in visual communication design; it is important to note that the survey does not designate if the degree is related to the graphic design field or not.
Percent of designers without a master's degree
As of 2021, I'll be joining the elite 6% of survey respondents with master's degrees! Specifically, my master's degree is a master's of science in management with a specialization in marketing.

Senior Graphic Designer + Presentation Designer + Quality Control Specialist
February 2014 to March 2016
As a Senior Graphic Designer and Presentation Designer, I worked with clients to provide design support; with an emphasis on adhering to brand standards and applying production best practices. After about a year into this role, I partnered with leadership to develop and train two teams because of a client-needs gap. And then, I worked as a peer leader on the newly formed teams to review production tasks, and ensure design standards, deliverable, and deadline requirements were met.
